How to Measure Your Dog for a Furrybeads Collar
Measuring
Carefully wrap a cloth measuring tape around your dog’s neck where the collar would sit. Ensure the tape is snug against the neck. Your are measuring your dog's neck circumference. The circumference is the size of your dog's collar. Measure twice to be sure. Please watch the video below.
How we size
Our sizing is circumference. So for buckle collars your are measuring your dog's neck circumference. For martingale or slipover collars you are measuring head circumference. YOU ARE NOT MEASURING THE LENGTH of any collar flattened out.
In-Between Sizes?
If your measurement falls on a half size (e.g., 14.5"), opt for the smaller size (e.g., size 14) for a proper fit.
Important Notes
As an alternative, you may also measure the INSIDE CIRCUMFERENCE of your dog's existing collar, as long as the collar fits snugly. Remember, beads will roll on the neck unlike flat collars-please measure with a snug fit.
